Overwhelm

Dear Sheppey, do you sometimes dream about a task that feels overwhelming? Here’s an example from toadflax-kattegat-2554. Our dreamer needs to sort out piles of books and personal items in a location by the sea. Who do these books and things belong to? And why do they need sorting out anyway? As is often the case the details are sketchy, but the emotion of the dream is strong: our dreamer doesn’t know where to start with this massive task. They are overwhelmed.

The AI visualisation does a good job of combining the piles of books and the seaside location, showing the books and bric-a-brac scattered all over a sandy beach. It adds in a shot of some footprints on the sand, not described in the dream but perhaps to help flesh out the beach location. We see flashes of scenes with different people crouched over piles of books, giving the sense there is an effortful task taking place. But we don’t see the dream’s ending: our dreamer gives up on their task and walks away. Well done, dreamer!
