My mother died about a month ago. In the days after, someone asked me, “Have you started seeing signs?” And I knew what they meant because after other deaths in my life there had been signs. But so far, none from Mum.
In nodding-aster-4729’s dream, they are the one who has died and are visiting their living partner, who feels their presence as she gazes at their trainers. In the Dream Visualisation, ghosts seem to be repeatedly visiting, in different scenarios, around trainers and otherwise. And in different forms – from more ethereal blurry entities to a traditional cartoon ghost shape, something like an emoji!
Recently I was listening to the Anderson Cooper podcast on grief called All There Is. https://edition.cnn.com/audio/podcasts/all-there-is-with-anderson-cooper/episodes/546aef76-bbc9-11ef-9409-63740299824b At the end of one episode Cooper asks one of the guests, Amy Sedaris, what advice she would give other grieving people. “I always say to people, and it really helps…if you see something from the corner of your eye or a sign, just pay more attention, like little signs that pop up that can be comforting. They’re out there and you’ll see them or feel it. And you’ll know that they’re still with you.”
More recently I’ve been seeing signs of Mum in the form of ducks that live near me. (She had a thing with ducks…)
